While the legal entity “Brick Factory, L.L.C.” was formed on July 22, 2011, we really didn’t become official until September 30, 2011.  Which means that as of today we’re two weeks old.  In those two weeks, we’ve hit a lot of little milestones that are probably only of interest to me.  I figured I’d share them anyway.

  • October 3 – Our first official business day as the Brick Factory.
  • October 6 – We receive our first client payment.
  • October 6 – We sign our first new client since the change.
  • October 6 – Our CCO Tom and I spend the afternoon together looking at furniture and choosing a “palette” for our new office.  This isn’t a milestone so much as a form of torture.
  • October 7 – We sign a lease on a new space downtown (Connecticut and M).  We’ll be moving in early November.
  • October 10 – Our website and blog go live and we publicly announce the new company.
  • October 14 – We process our first payroll as the Brick Factory, with only a few minor hiccups.

Anyway, so far so good.  Here’s hoping our second two weeks go as well as our first two.
