Jess Noble's 'Friend,' Starring John Noble, is a Complex Lesson in Loss, Caring, and Moving On

      Email Post       5/03/2013 12:48:00 PM

shot in Vancouver - Aimee Long

Two months ago, media producer Ari Margolis released a trailer for "Friend," a short film written by Jess Noble, and starring none other than her father, the versatile and beloved actor, John Noble. The scenes were filmed in Vancouver during the last days of filming for Fringe, and the crew names should seem quite familiar to any serious Fringe fan. Hint: They were members of the filming crew,  who generously volunteered their time for this endeavor.

The film's synopsis:

A lonely, grief stricken man of wealth finds a new lease on life after an unusual ‘friend’ is mysteriously delivered to his door. A unique and unexpected relationship quickly forms, bringing hope and color to the man’s bleak existence. But will tragedy strike again?

Over the past few days, Fringe fans may have noticed some clues about the film's release, in the form of teasing tweets from Ari Margolis (@jonxproductions) and @Fringenuity, and from some posts on Facebook, Tumblr, and Google Plus.

The wait is now over.

The film was released today, as announced by TVGuide Magazine's Fringe-faithful senior writer, Damian Holbrook.

Watch it before continuing to read, and be sure to scan the credits. There's some wit from video editor Ari Margolis, and a tribute to one of his most special friends. I have a personal wish that Ari's heart has healed, and that maybe someday a new buddy will "assist" him at his desk as he writes his breakout screenplay.

Calling All #Fringe Fans Far & Wide

      Email Post       1/10/2012 02:37:00 PM

This is a repost of a mega-tweet from Fringe editor Ari Margolis (@jonxproductions):
You guys are the most passionate, dedicated, inventive & creative fans out there. If anyone doubts that just watch this.  But I am calling on you to bring it even harder these next seven days. In one week #Fringe returns with all-new episodes! And not just all-new episodes...but kick ass all-new episodes! So, let’s spread the word and come back with a vengeance! Now is the time! This show is too good for people to be missing out on it. And if you’ve fallen behind on #Fringe, don’t worry about it. You can get caught up on the season so far in less than five minutes courtesy of Mr. John Noble.

Or if you want to recap the entire series, you can do that in under an hour with this handy dandy little Fringe: Past + Present + Future playlist [posted above]. And please share this with your friends. It works.

My all-time favorite show is #Lost but I actually didn’t watch it the first season. I got caught up watching their recap special and after that I was off to the races. So spread the word. It’s never too late to start watching. And watching live!

Even if you usually DVR #Fringe and watch it a day or two later, watch it live next week! Let’s get #FringeWatchItLive trending! Now is the time to make the push. And in return you will get some truly amazing television.

Having read or watched up through episode 415 I can assure you that #Fringe is returning with a run of mind-blowing, jaw dropping, heartbreaking & soul lifting episodes that you do not want to miss! Some truly epic TV!

And ICYMI, here’s a tease of the next two episodes. Re-Tweet this. Rally the troops. Spread the word. In one week… #Fringe returns! 9/8c. Fox. Be Vigilant!

Fringe 'Song Of The Week' Starts Today

      Email Post       9/30/2011 02:49:00 PM

Fringe media master, and friend to Fringe fans, Ari Margolis, just Tweeted (@jonxproductions) that he is starting a Fringe "Song Of the Week"(SOTW) feature today.

Every Friday, Ari will post a new SOTW and the YouTube link to it on his Twitter account.

Previously, from mid-May until the Season 4 premiere date of September 23rd, Ari posted a Fringe "Song Of The Day" link, often using fan suggestions, and at least 2 from cast member, Jasika Nicole.

And speaking of Jasika Nicole, she is now officially on Twitter as of yesterday! You can follow and tweet her at @JasikaNicole!

Please Tweet Ari and Jasika and thank them for all that they do, and their never-ending fan appreciation.

Complete List of Ari Margolis' Summer 'Fringe Song Of The Day'

      Email Post       9/22/2011 11:54:00 AM

I've posted before here at Fringe Television how lucky we are that Fringe Media Master, Ari Margolis, is also a great friend to Fringe fans.

Ari started posting a Fringe Song Of The Day(SOTD)on his Twitter account in May and he kept it up the entire summer, which made the summer hiatus that much more fun, and feel a bit shorter.

Ari even took fan SOTD requests and posted them, and solicited at least 3 from
Fringe cast member Jasika Nicole who plays both Astrid Farnsworth's on the TV series.

Check out the entire list of Ari's picks for 'Fringe Song Of The Day' by clicking here.
Enjoy! And go to Ari's Twitter account at @jonxproductions and thank him for an awesome
job.

An Early Happy Birthday to the Fringe Media Master, Ari Margolis!

      Email Post       9/15/2011 03:08:00 PM

Ari Margolis, Fringe promo designer extraordinaire, is celebrating a birthday tomorrow!
For those of you who do not know Ari, he has been extremely generous over the several years, showering us with beautiful promos, and most recently, the "Past+Present+Future" video series.

He is also very engaged with us Fringe fans via Twitter, letting us know when promos are availalbe. He also started on May 26 the "Fringe Song Of The Day" program via Twitter, taking requests and posting them and his own choices, and even a few from Jasika Nicole, daily via Twitter with the song links, which has made this long hiatus much more comfortable and fun.

Ari has given so much to us we decided to give something back.
So here you go, Ari, a birthday vid from us at Fringe Television!
The video was designed by our own Aimee Long and inspired by me.

Thanks, Ari, for all you do. Have a great birthday tomorrow!
